Bully Prevention Programs

Bully Prevention-Teacher Training Program

The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is the most researched and probably best-known bullying prevention program available today. It has over thirty-five years of research behind it and has been implemented around the world. The program is recognized by the Study and Prevention of Violence as one of only eleven Blueprint Model Programs and by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as a  Model  Progam

The goals of the program are:

· To reduce existing bullying problems among students

· To prevent the development of new bullying problems

· To achieve better peer relations at school

The Teacher Training Program and accompanying materials serve as the primary implementation tools for teachers and other classroom support staff. It highlights the important role teachers play in both the classroom and schoolwide efforts in preventing and addressing bullying.

Bullying: What Parents need to know

This Workshop will:

Help Parents identify bullying from both sides-having a child who is a bully and having a child whom is bullied.

Name-calling, exclusion, and downright assault are all forms of the peer abuse we call bullying--and studies (as well as experience) show us how damaging bullying can be to target, instigator, and bystander alike.

Clear and concise, this workshop gives parents immediate insight into the origins of this troubling behavior, as well as information to help recognize and remedy it.

The sensible, how-to approach outlines the positive steps adults can take to raise more confident, better-behaved children who'll have a happier future, beginning right now.
